What is RailPulse™?
RailPulse™ is a coalition formed by GATX Rail North America and other rail industry stakeholders to create a new telematics platform for the rail industry.
The platform will facilitate and accelerate the adoption of telematics across the North American railcar fleet to improve safety and visibility, which we believe will make it easier for our customers to ship by rail.
The five founding members collectively own nearly 20% of the North American railcar fleet, and the coalition has grown as new members continue to join.
The initial focus is on safety, including handbrake and impact data, with the goal to provide even more meaningful insights into rail performance.

We are constantly focused on providing first-class service to customers. RailPulse TM offers us an opportunity to use technology to do just that.
Collaboration
We recognized that the industry had to work together to bring change. Customers want to capture insights about their entire fleet, not just railcars leased from GATX Rail North America.
